Stephanie Amox attended the University of Texas at Arlington, where she was a Criminal Justice major. Amox's life did an about-face in January 2009. Her company was downsizing and the future of her career looked bleak. Her husband encouraged her to follow her dream and finally write the story which had been buzzing around in her head for a number of years, thus Painfully Ordinary was born.
Strong heroines, with personalities inspired by her daughter and friends, began taking on a life of their own. They refused to be quiet and demanded their story be told. Amox quickly found her characters were developing quite a following of their own.
Her big break came in August of 2010 when she signed Painfully Ordinary's first publishing contract.
These days she spends her time in Flower Mound, Texas with her husband, two children and a couple of crazy Jack Russell Terriers. When she's not writing she enjoys spending time watching her kids at their hockey and competitive cheer events.
The rest we shall say - is still being written...
